19th October

Guten Morgen Vancouver, Sud-West!

Inside an HSBC bank in Chinatown - vases, golden handrails, was even a water fountain!

Gah, blurry. But inside was compact rice with chicken inside!

17th October

Inside Smart Mouth down Water Street. I think the latte in here made me ill today (think it was the milk O_o).

Cookie delivery at work! Here a mostly eaten cookie rests on my notepad.

Gorgeous evening sky :)

Nice!

16th October

Heading out to Granville Island this morning :) The colours!!

Still on our way...Lots of plant life in this city, ay?

View from Granville Island towards Downtown.

Heading next to Commerical Drive for a wander.

This was a very hipster area, full of kitsch but expensive shops. Nice side streets too ;)

Out again late afternoon towards Downtown and Robson Street.

Yummy diced noodles and chicken wok fried!

Back down Robson Street - all the trees have lights wrapped around the barks.

15th October

Out by Trout Lake watching the dogs charging around.Unlike our last visit here, it was much colder!

We visited a little cafe near the park, was very cozy inside.

The milk and cream sat in a bucket of ice! I loved the decorations in here :)

Gorgeous autumn colours on the trees :)

The view from our local supermarket ;) Take that, Rewe oder Karstadt!

Pumpkin chunks baked in the oven with seasoning (read into that as salt and pepper, ahem) :)

14th October

Friend at work's desk ornament. Scary staring people. It says something like 'Food Festival' in Chinese (they're all Westerners sitting in a giant pear :P).

Yay clear Friday evening. Getting colder though!

Light in a bar/restaurant we went to along Main called Habit.

Butternut gnocchi and asparagus plus salad. YUM!

The sun paid a welcome visit to Downtown this morning, yay!

Waking up the bike this morning.

On my way to work, waiting at the lights on the edge of Chinatown :)

11th October

A grey start. It rained to and from work when I was cycling. Rain shall not stop me!

"You will go to the Dagobah system."

Save on Meats glowing in the distance near work.

10th October

A public holiday in Vancouver, and I was working ;) I took a break at lunch to go to my fave coffee shop in Gastown, Coffeebar. This is along the aptly named Water Street, as it was pouring down with rain.

This is how refried beans looks every time they plop out of the can. I find it slightly repulsive - I think it's cos it reminds me of cat food in tins.

9th October

A bike parked out the front of our building this morning :) The colours!!

Went to a BC Liquor for drinkies!

The drive back, facing the north; that's Cambie Bridge. The sun was out again!

I made some home made cookies with orange icing and sprinkles for tonight's Thanksgiving party, and we brought along some pumpkin ales and Mudslides, ooh yeah!

Some of the food, which included turkey, cranberry, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy...the delicious list goes on :)

8th October

Cycling along 10th Avenue on the way to Kits :)

Visited The Wired Monk, a coffee shop with free wi fi, which meant the laptop brigade! Note the woman with her feet up, sweat pants and slippers on to the left.

My latte!

My beloved bike parked outside :) It has many scratches on its side, from falling off, it falling over, etc...

Went to Indian Oven in Kits, was recommended to try the butter chicken which everyone is obsessed with over here. Was not bad. But no chicken korma! And so far, I can't find a chicken korma like they do back home :(
